Valeriya Hel has accumulated enough names, stories and reputations that separating biography from rumour has become rather difficult.
She is old, powerful and remarkably patient, but gives away very little about herself unless she has a reason to do so. Valeriya rarely needs to lie; answering a slightly different question is usually sufficient. Her loyalties are equally difficult to classify, and attempts to decide whether she is friend or enemy tend to reveal more about the person asking than about Valeriya herself.
She knows considerably more about the history behind Anrun than she is prepared to explain.
